Squash Harvest!

We did! We pulled it off! All of our hard work we put into the squash was worth it. We harvested all of our squash yesterday for the Dinning Hall and boy did we have a lot! Our estimated weight is around 740 lb of squash! We had literally a tuck load! Bennington College, I hope you really like butternut squash..

  1. Wow, the harvest looks amazing! I can only hope that someday the Sprout garden can produce so much vegetables. Our garden is much smaller but we are looking to expand in the future.

Thank you! It really was quite the harvest! We’re actually going to be relocating to a bigger space on campus for next year. You guys look like you’re doing some pretty cool stuff too, you had a beautiful garden in your pictures. It really doesn’t take much land though. That squash was grown on roughly a 30′ by 45′ piece of land. I hope you can expand your garden and make it grow in the future, I think its something that is really important to have on campuses, and really everywhere, but yeah. I look forward to seeing what happens.
      Happy Growing.
